Humor in poetry

Today I was supposed to publish a post about art, but I had no time to complete it, so I decided to share  this poem of mine that was published  by The Artistic Muse.

  2. Hi Julia .. I wrote about grey too .. personally I don't like it as a colour for me ... but sadly grey catches up with us! However I'd always go bright and colourful ...

    Cheers to you - Hilary

    1. Thanks, Hilary.
The grey color is irrelevant to me. The idea I wanted to express is that I am a free thinker. I broke my rule again! I did not want to say it.

  3. Sometimes whatever we do in life, it's never enough to satisfy those who crave more from us, unless it meets every part of their need. And that's just for that day!
Enjoyed your poem Julia and congrats for getting it published too. It's a nice feeling when others enjoy your work. Have a lovely week.

  5. I think if humans tried to live up to what they think are perceived expectations of themselves from others, they will never fulfil their own needs. We have to try to live up to our own realistic expectations.

Loved your thoughtful, enlightening poem, Julia.

  7. Wonderful poem, Julia! Yes, it is sometimes not enough just to do something, you have to justify it, and then you have to go further and shine at it in order to satisfy others. Those who don’t fit the mold, those who reject being compelled to choose black or white will instead choose gray, and they are the free thinkers. Beautiful sunset photo, too, I love how the colors blend together.

    1. Thank you for your comment, Jersey.
Free thinkers tend to be ostracized.
And no matter what we do, we will always be criticized and "it will never be enough".
