Humor in poetry
Today I was supposed to publish a post about art, but I had no time to complete it, so I decided to share this poem of mine that was published by The Artistic Muse.

I like the poem very much. And it looks like an interesting site. Thanks for the share.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elizabeth. I also love reading the poems published by The Artistic Muse.
DeleteIt is a very inspiring site, I agree.
Hi Julia .. I wrote about grey too .. personally I don't like it as a colour for me ... but sadly grey catches up with us! However I'd always go bright and colourful ...
ReplyDeleteCheers to you - Hilary
Thanks, Hilary.
DeleteThe grey color is irrelevant to me. The idea I wanted to express is that I am a free thinker. I broke my rule again! I did not want to say it.
Sometimes whatever we do in life, it's never enough to satisfy those who crave more from us, unless it meets every part of their need. And that's just for that day!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your poem Julia and congrats for getting it published too. It's a nice feeling when others enjoy your work. Have a lovely week.
My thoughts, exactly, Rum-Punch Drunk.
DeleteI was really glad to read your words. Somebody understood.
Loved your poem Julia, looks a great site as well. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reading it, Susan.
DeleteIt's always good to learn that my poem means something to some people. Stay well and I will be visiting your blog now.
I think if humans tried to live up to what they think are perceived expectations of themselves from others, they will never fulfil their own needs. We have to try to live up to our own realistic expectations.
ReplyDeleteLoved your thoughtful, enlightening poem, Julia.
Pawsitive wishes,

Lovely. Life is full of choices. And nice sunset to remind us that tomorrow is another day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angelika. I took a picture of this beautiful sunset just a few days ago. I was enchanted by all all those beautiful colors...
DeleteWonderful poem, Julia! Yes, it is sometimes not enough just to do something, you have to justify it, and then you have to go further and shine at it in order to satisfy others. Those who don’t fit the mold, those who reject being compelled to choose black or white will instead choose gray, and they are the free thinkers. Beautiful sunset photo, too, I love how the colors blend together.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, Jersey.
DeleteFree thinkers tend to be ostracized.
And no matter what we do, we will always be criticized and "it will never be enough".
